Don't Stop Box

Last week I did my first live unboxing video on Facebook.  It featured the Don’t Stop Box, which is the most recent new arrival to the website.  If you missed the video you can check it out here. I’m pretty excited about this particular box. A great deal of thought was put into creating the box, and I wanted to share that in more detail here where I can express myself a little better than in a rushed live video.

The Don’t Stop Box is $35 which includes shipping to anywhere in the US.  This box is focused on inspiration, building strength, and of course looking good while you do that.  For $35 you will receive a total of 24 items which are listed below:

               24oz Water Bottle

               Don’t Stop Tshirt

               15 Affirmation Cards

               1 Traditional Style Scrunchy

               5 Telephone Cord Style Scrunchies

               1 Surprise Gift

It’s the beginning of a new year, and with that many people traditionally create resolutions.  Often those resolutions involve diet and exercise.  I felt that many of us may have set goals in those two areas more this year than any year before. I don’t know about you, but quarantine added a few pounds for me.  If you fit into this category then this box is perfect for you.  All of the items should help you along your journey to a healthier year.  The water bottle has been customized.  On the front, it says, “Drink your effing water”.  While on the back you will see guidelines on where your water consumption should be for different times of the day.  Staying hydrated is so very important, and with this water bottle, you will be reminded every time you look at it to DRINK YOUR EFFING WATER!

The shirt is very soft and has been customized to say DON’T STOP.  This simple expression can make a lasting statement on many levels.  Make this your favorite workout shirt and you’ll be reminded to keep going even if you get tired or feel that a task is too difficult.  Every time you wash and fold this shirt you’ll be reminded and should reflect on whether or not you have given up on your goals.  The most important suggestion I have for this shirt is to wear it out in public.  This message could be just the thing a person might need to see on a tough day.  Imagine walking past a stranger, they look up and catch a glance of your shirt and the words DON’T STOP strike them as a message that was meant for them to see in that specific moment.  The world is a difficult place and if a simple t-shirt can help someone then it’s well worth the price.

I designed each of the 15 affirmation cards with hopes that everyone will find inspiration and receive the push they need to get through their day.

This box is a one-time purchase. There are only 20 boxes available and then they will be sold out. If you would like to purchase one you can do so here. If you have any questions feel free to contact me and I’ll get back to you as quickly as possible.

A Walk at Raystown Lake

Not that I was counting on today being a terrible day, but it ended up being a pretty great day.  The weather forecast called for thunderstorms from Friday clear into next Tuesday, however it was nothing but clear skies and sunshine.  I got some work accomplished in the early part of my day and then was surprised by a text from my friend Hannah, asking if I wanted to do something.

I immediately thought we have to do something outside since sunshine seems so rare these days.  Last summer we had more recorded rainfall than Seattle.  No joke people.  This spring it’s not been looking any better.  Anyways,  I asked if she would like to go for a walk at Raystown Lake.  It’s just a few minutes drive for us.  I have heard many talk about a walking path that was put in, and figured we could give that a try.  She was willing to go, so off we went.

I’ll have to do some additional research but the walking path seemed to have been made from recycled rubber.  It was very soft and gave way under your feet somewhat like memory foam.

We parked at the visitors center and ventured across the street to check out the bike trails.  There were many cyclists riding in the area, trying out the jumps and paths.  It was pretty neat.  Not sure if I’ll ever be brave enough to try biking in that specific area or not.  We joked a good bit about what we could foresee each other doing, trying to jump mountain bikes.  Especially since we haven’t rode a bike in years.  😂

After watching people biking from the viewing area, we headed back across the street to the walking path.  It was pretty warm today, however most of the path was in shaded area which made the walk even more pleasant.

We stopped at the marina and walked down to the waters edge.  We looked at some of the boats docked there and began to chat about how nice it would be to have a house boat and spend weekends on the lake.

Back on the path we went, stopping again just a short distance away at a picnic area at the waters edge.  I snapped a few pictures and took a video to share with you the beautiful view.  At this point we were about 3/4 of the way done with our walk.  After enjoying a few minutes at this spot we finished our walk arriving back at the visitors center.  I used the Map My Walk app to tack our distance.  We made it 2.63 miles.

I’m not sure about you, but the weather definitely has an effect on my mood.  The fact that the weather was beautiful and I got to take a nice walk definitely gave me some positive vibes for the rest of my day.
